New Book: Save America Now! asks Americans to join a new revolution.
More than two centuries ago, Patrick Henry said, “Give me liberty or give me death.”
Patrick Henry, like so many of our Founding Fathers, was wealthy, had a family and had much to lose by standing up to tyranny. He believed that saving liberty was worth risking his life and his fortune. He believed in America. He was in love with America.
The charter for the American Revolution in 1776 was the Declaration of Independence. Many people today see the world as interdependent. They see the USA as dependent on other countries as part of one world. Our founding fathers believed in independence. They believed that strength was achieved from independence. They believed in the independence of the individual and the state. And that the federal government should only have limited powers. Therefore, they wrote a Declaration of Independence … not one of interdependence.
It is easy to wage a revolution when you have nothing to lose. As Bob Dylan said in “Like a Rolling Stone”: “When you got nothing, then you got nothing to lose.”
But what about when you do have something to lose?
The American Revolution in 1776 was unlike other revolutions. The revolutions in the USSR, South Africa, France, Cuba, and the current government overthrow in Egypt, etc. were fought by people who had nothing to lose. Compare those to the American Revolution which was led by those who were wealthy and had much to lose. The American Revolution was led by those who believed that freedom, liberty and democracy were worth more for mankind than the risk of losing their personal wealth.
The tyrants in America today are betting that most Americans do not have the love for America as was had by Patrick Henry, and that we have too much material wealth to lose to fight the erosion of our liberties by those tyrants. They continue to amass power for the federal government and for a world order. Tyrants are betting that Americans fear losing their material wealth more than they love liberty.
The problems facing America today stem from 50 years of concerted efforts to “change” America from what made America great to a country that will blend into a new world order of socialism ruled by an elite class of dictators and despots. Save America Now! is a new book with a new twist at looking at how the US got to this point of extinction. And then it paints a road map of how to save America now!
This book documents conversations and interchange with recognizable personalities including John McCain, Colin Powell, Jim DeMint, Mel Gibson, Lindsay Graham, Mel Martinez and Chuck Todd.
